Commitment to the association’s goals

Our general meeting is the association’s highest body. The meeting of members elects the association’s board and its auditor, monitors expenditures, determines the direction the association’s activities are to take and constructively and critically verifies the targets defined. For some years now, the Zurich Animal Protection Association has carried out ballot votes in lieu of holding annual general meetings. This makes it possible for a greater number of members to participate.

Become a member and enjoy the right to co-determine

In addition to legal and natural persons, organizations under public law may also join the association. Registration must take place in writing or by means of this form. The more members an association has, the greater its say and support. This is important with regard to political initiatives or legal processes as well as for negotiations with the authorities.

Members also benefit from the possibility to attend special events. Twice a year, our publication “Zuercher Tierschutz” is sent out to them and periodically, they are able to purchase attractive books and other publications from our own publishing house, Tierschutzverlag, at reduced prices.
